The First Inception Meeting: The Green Finance Centre met with MiBank PNG for an Inception meeting as part of the Inclusive Green Finance Policy (IGFP) Implementation Roadmap.

Following the MoU signing between Bank of Papua New Guinea, Global Green Growth Institute and MiBank PNG, the Green Finance Centre Papua New Guinea conducted an inception meeting with MiBank’s Executive Leadership Team on 21 March 2024 at MiBank’s head office in Waigani, Port Moresby NCD.  

The inception meeting covered the following:

• Overview and core functions of GFC.
• Green Taxonomy as part of the IGFP.
• Timeline and next steps to develop green loan products for MiBank.  

Both parties also shared their expectations from the exercise and MiBank nominated a champion on the project from their side.
